Getting started

  1. Open Bedrot and approve Screen Time access when iOS asks. Bedrot cannot block anything without it.
  2. Choose the apps, categories, or websites you want shielded at night.
  3. Set your bedtime and wake time, and pick which nights the routine runs.
  4. Tap Arm the shield. Bedrot takes over at your bedtime.

Common questions

Why can’t I set a window shorter than 15 minutes?

Apple’s Screen Time system requires every recurring schedule to be at least 15 minutes long. This is a platform limit, not a Bedrot setting, and it applies to every app that uses Screen Time. It is not a sign that permissions have failed.

My apps aren’t being blocked.

Apps are still blocked after my wake time.

Open Bedrot; it reconciles the shield on launch. If a block persists, check that your device clock and timezone are correct, then restart the device. If it still holds, email us with your routine times and timezone.

I need to get into a blocked app right now.

Open the blocked app and tap 5 more minutes on the shield screen. Bedrot lifts the shield for five minutes and then re-arms it automatically.

What happens if I restart my phone?

Your routine survives a restart. Bedrot re-checks and restores the correct shield state the next time it runs, and the schedule itself is held by iOS.

Do my Screen Time figures leave my phone?

No. Your Screen Time figures stay in the app’s own storage on your device and are never uploaded. Bedrot does collect anonymous analytics about which features get used, which never includes your Screen Time data or the apps you chose to block. See the Privacy Policy.

How do I remove Bedrot completely?

Delete the app. That erases its stored routine, selection, and insights, and removes its Screen Time authorisation and any shields it applied.

Subscription and billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Bedrot, then tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling at least 24 hours before a free trial ends stops it converting to a paid subscription.

How do I get a refund?

Apple processes every Bedrot purchase, so Apple handles refunds and we cannot issue one directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app went wrong, email us as well and we will help you make the case.

I paid but the app still shows the paywall.

Tap Restore purchases on the paywall, and check you are signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with. If it still will not unlock, email us with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.
