Terms of Use

Bedrot · Last updated 25 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the Bedrot iOS app. By installing or using Bedrot you agree to them. If you do not agree, please delete the app.

1. Licence

Bedrot is licensed, not sold, to you. Your licence is the standard Apple Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (the standard EULA), which applies in full. These terms supplement it. Where the two conflict, the Apple standard EULA governs.

2. What Bedrot does

Bedrot uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks to block apps you select during a bedtime window you define, and shows you insights about the window it protected. It is a self-control aid. It is not a security product, a parental-control service, or a medical or therapeutic device.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Bedrot is a paid app sold by subscription through the Apple App Store. There is no other way to buy it, and we do not take payments directly.

4. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, so Apple handles all refunds. We cannot issue one directly. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing here limits any statutory right to cancel or be refunded that you have under the law where you live.

5. What Bedrot does not promise

Bedrot depends on Apple’s Screen Time system to enforce blocking. We do not control that system, and we cannot guarantee that a shield will always engage, always hold, or always release on time.

Specifically, you accept that:

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Your data

Your routine, app selection, and Screen Time insights stay on your device. Bedrot also collects anonymous product analytics, and Apple and RevenueCat handle your subscription. The Privacy Policy sets all of this out in full. Keeping your device backed up is your responsibility, and uninstalling the app erases its local data.

8. Warranty and liability

Bedrot is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including any loss caused by an app failing to be blocked or failing to be unblocked, by inaccurate insights, or by any interruption in availability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects consumer rights you have under the law of your country that cannot be waived by agreement.

9. Changes to the app and these terms

We may modify or discontinue features, and we may change subscription prices for future billing periods, with the notice that Apple and applicable law require. We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page will change and material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes. Continuing to use Bedrot after a change means you accept it.

10. Termination

You may stop using Bedrot at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, and where we do so without cause you may seek a refund from Apple for any unused paid period.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
